Our Story

Hello! We are so excited to have you be a part of this special time. For those that may only know one of us, we have put together some fun facts about ourselves, how we met, our favorite things to do together and our engagement story. We hope you enjoy!

Catherine was born in Nashville, Tennessee but grew up in Lexington, Kentucky where the majority of her family still calls home. She went to the College of Charleston. She is one of three girls and loves having a job that takes her to different sporting events. After a few career moves, the PGA of America brought her to Atlanta where she decided to put roots down and call it home.

Tim was born in Springfield, Massachusetts but moved to Jackson, TN soon after. After moving to Minnesota for middle school, the family moved to Georgia where he spent his high school years living in Atlanta. His immediate family, Sean (and sister-in-law Jenna), Patrick, and mom and dad all live in Atlanta meanwhile all extended family is from St. Louis, Missouri. He went to the University of South Carolina (Dean's List in Spring 2007). He is one of three boys and has an identical twin. He moved back to Atlanta after college and has called it home ever since.

It was February 10th, 2020 and the NCAA basketball season was in full swing prepping for March Madness. Catherine was talked into going to her roommate’s (Myranda McGinn) friend’s house to watch some games that night. Fun was underway when Myranda’s fiancé, Tim McGinn, walked in with his friend, Timmy. They arrived after doing some much needed work on Timmy's newly purchased home. Catherine of course said something sassy to this new introduction and Timmy knew he had to get her number. Two days later, she couldn't resist and they went on their first date to Fox Brothers BBQ and Lloyd’s. Less than two years later, the Braves would win the World Series.

Since then we have enjoyed DIY home projects, boating, golfing, watching the Braves win the World Series, and traveling together. Catherine's dachshund, Eloise, even gets along with Tim's dog, Bailey! You can see them both pictured on different pages of the site.

Two years later, Tim made it official when he proposed to Catherine at Thoroughbred Park in Lexington, Kentucky while they were home for the Spring meet at Keeneland. Tim even planned it out to have Catherine's family ready to congratulate them shortly after.
